Melbourne - Lorne - Great Ocean Road - Apollo Bay - Great Otway National Park - Port Fairy - Mount Gambier - Adelaide

Day 01 - Melbourne to Lorne

Experience Melbourne aboard a cruise through the city’s picturesque gardens, parklands and some of the famous sporting arenas. What better way to start off your holiday than seeing all of Melbourne’s highlights and relaxing on a river cruise. Then, head off along the Great Ocean road and stay at Lorne for the night.

Day 02 - Great Ocean Road to Apollo Bay

Today you will explore the great ocean road by horseback on a guided bush or beach trek. Capture the sights and sounds of the Southern Ocean along the coastline, or the abundance of wildlife in the hinterland. Stay 2 nights in Apollo Bay. Apollo Bay is referred to as the “Paradise by the Sea” and is a great place for those who love the beaches and water sports.

Day 03 - Great Otway National Park

Today you will experience the sensation of being 25m above the forest floor at the Otway Treetop Walk. This unique experience offers you a close view of the flora and fauna of the rainforest and a great lookout over the Great Otway National Park. Witness the natural beauty of this National Park, which is home to a number of beautiful beaches, rugged landscapes, waterfalls and rock platforms

Day 04 - Apollo Bay to Port Fairy

Continue along the Great Ocean road, making sure to stop off at Port Campbell to witness the amazing 12 Apostles. The 12 Apostles are giant limestone rock stacks that rise majestically from the Southern Ocean. They were formed as a result of erosion by rain, gale force winds and wild seas and stand approximately 65m above sea-level. Head to the viewing platform to see if you can spot marine mammals out at sea or in the caves below. Continue to the charming fishing village of Port Fairy. Overnight.

Day 05 - Port Fairy to Mount Gambier

Seal Point at Cape Bridgewater where the largest mainland group of seals in Australia is home to over 1000 Australian & New Zealand Fur Seals. Enjoy a boat ride from the jetty to the rock platform and into the Watery Cave where you will experience a unique interaction within the seals' natural habitat. Watch the seals play all around you, showing off to the sound of clicking cameras and getting up to antics that is sure to entertain. Overnight at Mount Gambier

Day 06 - Mount Gambier to Adelaide

You are in for a treat on the last leg of your trip, as you visit the World Heritage listed Naracoorte Caves! The 800,000 year old caves feature spectacular stalactites and stalagmites and are a must see. Choose between a walking cave tour or try something more adventurous. The cave tour also includes entry into the Wonambi Fossil Centre which showcases a wealth of information about the caves' history, including life-size reconstruction of ancient animals. Your journey ends in the festival city of Adelaide.
