Sydney - Blue Mountains - Port Stephens - Port Macquarie - Coffs Harbour - Byron Bay - Gold Coast - Brisbane

Day 01 - Sydney

Arrive in Sydney, Australia's oldest city, with an endless number of activities and attractions. Today you are free to explore the city and all it has to offer. Perhaps choose to visit the well-known Opera House which is considered one of the seven wonders of the modern world. This magnificent building, whose roof is shaped like a cluster of sails, is a national landmark and is the most famous structure of Australia. Have lunch on the waterfront at Darling Harbour and relax on the famous Bondi beach. Stay 2 nights

Day 02 - Blue Mountains Day Tour

Today you will experience the unique World Heritage Region of the Blue Mountains. Firstly wander around the Featherdale Wildlife Park to meet Australia’s native animals. Then head up to the northern section of the Blue Mountains National Park to enjoy the stunning views and learn about the flora. Pass through the historic town of Hartley Vale and search for kangaroos grazing in the pastoral fields. There is an optional visit to Scenic World, home of the worlds steepest incline railway (own expense). Lastly, visit the new Koomurri Aboriginal Centre to see a corroboree and look at the aboriginal artifacts before heading back to Sydney.

Day 03 - Sydney to Port Stephens

From Sydney head north to the beaches and aquatic playground of Port Stephens. Enjoy a view of the coast from 150m above the water on a parasailing trip that will provide the most awe-inspiring view of the marine wonderland below. The colourful ballooning parachute is winched into the air from a speed boat and enables parasailers to see Port Stephens from a rare and fascinating angle. Keep an eye out for many of the bay’s approximately 160 dolphins!

Day 04 - Port Stephens to Port Macquarie

Enjoy a unique and fun filled experience on Port Macquarie’s most beautiful southerly beach. You will be warmly greeted and looked after by friendly and experienced cameleers. Hop aboard one of Australia’s own camels and be delighted with stories, amazing facts and history of this incredible ‘ship of the desert’ (own expense). Dolphins are frequently seen dancing the waves and whales are commonly seen migrating during the whale season. Where else could you experience a sight like this? From the elevated view on the back of a camel gently meandering along the golden sands of Lighthouse Beach. Overnight.

Day 05 - Port Macquarie to Coffs Harbour

On your way up to Coffs Harbour, take a break from driving at South West Rocks. This is the location of Fish Rock Cave and Australia’s best ocean cave dive. Venture into the 125m long cave and travel right through the centre of a small island! Fish Rock is also home to an amazing array of marine life and is known as the habitat for Grey Nurse Sharks. Continue on to Coffs Harbour and stay one night.

Day 06 - Coffs Harbour to Byron Bay

Take in some of the best sights the East Coast has to offer on a three hour sea kayaking adventure. Paddling your kayak out through the surf and get up close and personal with the friendly bottlenose dolphins, discover how inquisitive they can be! There are estimated to be around 1500 dolphins in the greater Byron Bay area, and over 300 in Byron Bay’s immediate waters. These are called resident dolphins and will live in this area their entire lives. The species most commonly spotted include inshore and offshore bottle nose dolphins, along with some Indo Pacific humpback dolphins and common dolphins. Overnight.

Day 07 - Byron Bay to Gold Coast

Leave Byron Bay early this morning, in time for a Crab Catching Cruise on the Tweed River. Enjoy a range of activities including fishing, yabbie pumping, crab catching and bird feeding. Get up close and personal with the native wildlife and explore the diverse waterways of the Tweed. Cruise past oyster leases and flying fox habitats, and keep an eye out for dolphins!

Continue to Gold Coast and be entertained at Australia’s longest running and most successful dinner theatre – Draculas Cabaret and Restaurant. Enjoy a total night of entertainment combining burlesque, contemporary music, comedy and quality dining, all in the one incredible venue. Included with the show is a Ghost Train ride leading you to the theatre and a 3-course meal. The show contains adult themes and some coarse language. As such, we have a recommended age of 16+. Stay in Gold Coast for 2 nights.

Day 08 - Gold Coast

Half Day Island Cruising Adventure. Welcome aboard your ultimate day in paradise, head off on our calm water cruise to the Bali inspired Island Paradise McLaren’s Landing on beautiful South Stradbroke Island. Cruise past the homes of the Gold Coast rich and famous on our luxury air-conditioned catamaran. Once at the Island enjoy a delicious BBQ feast and an exciting array of water sports and activities. Spend the day feeding the wild wallaby’s, kayaking or playing beach volleyball. Optional activities Segway Safari Bush Track 4WD and Sand Tobogganing are not to be missed. Today you have the option to join a half day Whale Watching Cruise with a guaranteed humpback whale sighting. Small extra cost applies (June to November only).

Day 09 - Gold Coast to Brisbane

On the last day of your trip, enjoy the coastal drive up to Brisbane where you have the day to spend enjoying the city. With such a wide range of attractions you will be spoilt for choice
